Upon completion, you will have enhanced knowledge of preventive controls, recordkeeping, verification and validation procedures, and food safety hazards so you can update and/or create your food safety plan.

“In my opinion, this was the most informative and complete training experience I have received. The methods of teaching allowed me the flexibility to learn at my own pace and the live portion of the lesson was very hands-on, engaging, and allowed the class to ask questions relative to specific functions within their own organization. I would recommend this course to anyone no matter the skill level that they are currently at.”

FAQ

FAQ

What is a PCQI certification?
While there is not an official PCQI certification, one can earn a Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certificate of completion issued from the FSPCA. The training and certificate of completion from Zosi is the easiest way to prove you have successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventative controls that meet FDA standards. The FDA requires that a facility’s food safety plan be developed and overseen by one or more PCQI’s.

Does FDA require PCQI training?
Most facilities that are registered under section 415 of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic act are required to have a PCQI. This ensures a qualified individual is in place to create and manage an FSMA-compliant food safety plan.

How long is the PCQI training?
The self-paced online training and 8-hour instructor-led training total approximately 20 hours.
